The International Faculty CITY College was happy to host a number of startups, namely, The Port (Mrs Luxy Xu), Tripannion (Mr Bojan Tomanovic), Grek.addict (Mrs Souzana Theodoridou), Embiots (Mr George Foroglou) and Octappush (Mr Christos Sinopoulos) in the frame of "Entrepreneurs Talk" seminars. The two-day seminar series was addressed to 3rd Level Business Economics and Administration students, as part of the ‘Entrepreneurs & Small Business’ unit, led by Ms Sfouri Violeta.
The objective of the event was to engage students with the startup ecosystem, cultivate a creative and entrepreneurial way of thinking and provide practical information and knowledge about startup management.
Our guest speakers highlighted various issues in the life of a startup, from the idea creation and the first steps to team creation, failures and successes, the importance of teamwork, best practices, financing etc. Also, they focused on networking, go to market strategies, revenue models. Finally, this was a great opportunity to announce internship positions for our students at some of the startups.
It is worth mentioning that the Tripannion founder, Mr Bojan Tomanovic, is an International Faculty Alumnus (MA in Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations), based in Canada.
The event was organised by the Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre.
