Entitled 'Neuro-management Change & Innovation', the second module of the ‘Programme for Management Development’ was successfully delivered on 24 June in Kyiv by Prof. Alexandros Psychogios, Lecturer at the Executive MBA of the University of Sheffield International Faculty and Professor of International HRM at the Birmingham City University (UK). The programme is run by the University of Sheffield International Faculty for the for the European Business Association (EBA) members jointly with ΕΒΑ.
Prof. Psychogios discussed the common misconception that we only have one brain pointing out that the human brain has 36 grouped neurosystems which can be classified into 3 main brains: Action Brain, Thinking Brain and Emotional Brain. With references to brain science, behavioural science and modern management approaches, the speaker explained to participants that Neuro-management is a balance between meeting needs for organisational change and innovation and adapting to the internal and external contexts.
The ‘Programme for Management Development’ will be completed with 6 modules. The programme aims at equipping professionals with skills and knowledge, which are required for meeting companies’ strategic objectives; understanding business as an integrated system in the interrelationship of organizational, financial, marketing decisions aimed at increasing business competitiveness.
